SriLankan Airlines received the Gold Award for ‘Leading International Airline—South Asia’ during SATA 2024, held in Kathmandu.
The 8th edition of the South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) was organised in Kathmandu, and winners were announced during a prestigious Gala and Awards ceremony held at Aloft Kathmandu Thamel on September 20.
SriLankan Airlines started flights to Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, in 2021, connecting the island nation with the Himalayan nation.
It operates four weekly flights between Kathmandu and Colombo and plans to operate daily flights soon.
SATA 2024 was held in Kathmandu with the support of the Nepal Tourism Board and the Hotel Association Nepal. The SATA awards recognise outstanding service and innovation in the hospitality sector.
