PP Prasai Foundation honours tourism and educational professionals

The PP Prasai Foundation, established in memory of the famous tourism entrepreneur Prajapati Prasai, has awarded teachers, schools, and others who have contributed to the education and tourism fields.
The late Shyam Bahadur Pandey, who contributed to Nepal's tourism industry for nearly five decades, was posthumously honoured by Education, Science and Technology Minister Bidya Bhattarai at a ceremony held in Kathmandu with the PP Prasai Tourism Lifetime Achievement Award.
Likewise, Matrika Prasad Dahal of Fikkal Secondary School in Koshi Province, Ram Kripal Mahato of Janata Secondary School, Siraha from Madhesh Province, Ambika Dhital of Mahendragram Secondary School from Bagmati Province and Santosh Acharya of Machhapuchhre Secondary School from Gandaki Province were also honoured with outstanding Teacher Award with Rs50,000 cash each.
Santosh Acharya from Machhapuchhre Secondary School in Gandaki Province, Yuvraj Kandel from Sri Kalika Mental Science Secondary School, Butwal from Lumbini Province, Ashok Kumar Rai of Sri Amarjyoti Secondary School, Surkhet from Karnali Province, and Chandrakala Dawadi from Sri Saraswati Secondary School in Sudurpaschim Province have been awarded Rs50,000 each.
Minister Bhattarai presented the incentive award to the National Basic School at the ceremony. Every year, the foundation provides Rs 100,000 cash along with the National Excellent School Award to teachers who have made special contributions to the field of education.
