Organised jointly by Lalitpur Mall and Lalitpur Mobile Complex, the 11-day exhibition, which began on September 9, has so far attracted 25,000 visitors. The number is expected to soar to 150,000 by the time the exhibition ends.

What’s more, lucky winners can take home Royal Enfield Bullet, Vespa scooter and cash prize of Rs100,000.
Purushottam Basnet, chairman of Lalitpur Mobile
Complex, said the exhibition

The organiser said the
demand for cell phones from DTC—a Singapore-based
brand—and Chinese brands
like Huawei and Gionee is
high. “These mobile sets are slim, handy and come with advanced functions,” Basnet said. “They come at reasonable prices as well.”
Bar phones from DTC, which also function as power banks, are among the major attractions at the expo. Two DTC variants—Gear Classic and Gear Max—come with 5,000 and 6,800mAh batteries, respectively. The prices start from Rs3,000.
Huawei’s GR5 and GR5 Mini and Gionee’s S6s and P5 Mini are other crowd pullers. These phones cost from Rs8,000 Rs72,000.
Matrika Lamsal, an attendant at the Huawei stall, reported encouraging sales. “There is an increasing demand for Huawei mobile sets priced between Rs20,000 and Rs25,000,” she said.
Visitors were also seen thronging the stall of Lava, which is offering mobile sets with scratch-resistant screen. Birendra Khadka, an official at Ambe Group, the authorised distributor of Lava, said the Iris 870 and Iris 820 are among the fast-selling products. The mobile phones cost Rs5,500-Rs19,990.
As per the organiser, customers can get a one-year warranty on all the phones put on display at the exhibition. Basnet said they would also provide their customers with after-sales service and exchange facility throughout the year.
Besides, the visitors can also enjoy musical programmes and mobile game competition being organised at the exhibition.
