The Udayapur District Hospital is without a gynaecologist for the past 18 months. Gynaecology service at the hospital has been affected after Dr Pawan Shah and Dr Bishal Dev were transferred outside the district. The authorities concerned have not send their replacements, said hospital chief Dr Bishnu Bahadur Basnet. The District Hospital was the only health facility in Udayapur that provided maternity
