Province 2 Acting Principal Secretary Hari Phuyal, Province 2 Internal Affairs and Law Ministry Secretary Deviram Bhandari, Dhanusha Chief District Officer Gopal Parajuli and Janakpur Sub-metropolis Executive Officer Madan Bhandari have been asked to clarify how the wrongly-shaped and figured flag was installed on the temple. They have been asked to furnish a written clarification within three days.
Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit issued a letter to the officials stating that the matter to clarify was serious in nature. The annex of the constitution details the size and shape of the national flag. There were many protests on social media over the wrong depiction of the national flag at the event attended by a foreign head of government.
