A 24-year-old French national died in a rafting accident in the Karnali river in Kalikot district on Thursday.

Police said the French man, identified only as Mail, and his two friends had begun their rafting journey from Mugu four days ago.

The accident happened on Thursday morning, sometimes after the trio resumed their adventure after spending an overnight in Jarkot.

The raft had capsized at Amtadabhir area in Chhahara. (PR)
