Nepali picked director at WHO, GENEVA
Dr Shambu Acharya has been appointed the director at the Headquarters of World Health Organisation, Geneva.

Dr Shambu Acharya has been appointed the director at the Headquarters of World Health Organisation, Geneva. WHO Director-General Dr Margaret Chan appointed Dr Acharya, a Nepali national, as the director of Country Cooperation and Collaboration with the UN System on Tuesday.
Dr Acharya holds a PhD in Health Policy and Management from the US-based University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health. He has been actively working in health sector since 1985 and was associated with WHO since 1992.
