Nepalis in Australia organised a group picnic that was attended by around 600 Nepali people. The programme was organised with an aim to introduce the Nepali people living here. People from Mechi to Mahakali were seen at the event.
Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) in New South Wales organised the programme for the first time with an aim to entertain and introduce the Nepalis residing under different visas in Australia.
The participants were also offered a free check up session by the Australian Nepali Medical and Dental Association. NRNA New South Wales Chairman Dinesh Pokharel said the programme was historic.
Programme coordinator Krishna Niraula said that similar programmes will be organised in future as well.
