The United Arab Emirates preparations to open an embassy in Nepal have reached final stage with a team of UAE’s Foreign Minister looking for an appropriate location to set up the embassy.
The embassy will be established as a residential embassy and will provide visa and consular services.
Foreign Ministry has already approved UAE’s plans to open an embassy in Nepal.
Ramesh Prasad Khanal, South Asia Division chief of the Foreign Ministry, said the opening of the embassy will further foster the ties between the two countries. “It will also explore other possibilities in Nepal and make it easier to coordinate as many Nepalis are working there,” he said.
Over 200,000 Nepalis are currently working in the UAE.
