CPN-UML senior leader Jhala Nath Khanal has criticised the party-led government for failing to maintain law and order in the Tarai and to control black market.
Addressing a party programme in the eastern city on Saturday, Khanal said the constitution publicity campaign launched by the government was ineffective due to the weak security situation in Tarai districts.
“The campaign is yet to reach rural areas,” said Khanal. He also criticised the KP Sharma Oli-led Cabinet for doing nothing to control black market and smuggling of essentials.
Another ruling party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal also expressed his dissatisfaction at the government led by UML Chairman Oli. He said the government needs to make its presence felt.
