UML Chairman Oli asked to decide Agro Minister's fate
CPN-UML Spokesperson Yogesh Bhattarai has asked Chairman KP Sharma Oli to call an emergency meeting to take a call on the nature of action against Agro Minister Hari Prasad Parajuli.
“Party chairman should call an emergency Standing Committee meeting to take an immediate decision about Minister Parajuli’s misconduct,” said Bhattarai adding, “I personally believe minister should clarify about his conduct and party should take the decision after his statement.”
Bhattarai said Minister Parajuli’s behavior seems undisciplined. “Being a minister he should have maintained discipline and dignity of public position,” said Bhattarai.
Agriculture Minister Parajuli has been facing criticisms from all sectors including his own party members after photos depicting his misbehaviour with female participants during the National Paddy Day celebrations surfaced in the social media.
After the news went viral on social media, users have come down heavily on the indecent behaviour of the minister and asked for immediate action against him.
Meanwhile, Minister Parajuli met with Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bamdev Gautam, who leads the party in the government. DPM Gautam reportedly asked Minister Parajuli to step down from the post, drawing the attention of the minister towards the intense criticism against him in the house and social networking sites for his unruly behaviour.
