Ronaldo has "effectively used his voice and global visibility to raise awareness of critical issues facing the most vulnerable children around the world, including those affected by the April 25thearthquake in Nepal," Save the Children said in a statement on Thursday.
However, it states that the reports of "Ronaldo’s contribution towards Save the Children’s Nepal earthquake relief efforts is untrue."
As the second earthquake brought on even further devastation to the vulnerable country, Save the Children is grateful to Ronaldo and other influential supporters for spreading the word about the critical situation facing the children and families of Nepal, the statement adds.
Ronaldo is also the Save the Children’s global artist ambassador.
