But it is difficult to know the kind of support needed for the victims scattered across the quke hit districts mostly remote villages. Because of these circumstances there have been difficulties to supply the necessary relief materials to the victims. It is equally difficult for those willing to extend support as where to contact for providing their help and who are the true victims? All this has led to lack of proper coordination among those willing to help and those needing it.
In view of the above difficulty faced in the relief distribution, Kantipur Media Group (KMG) has launched a platform called HAMI. Simply by logging onto hami.ekantipur.com, the people needing assistance can put the information about their required assistance while those willing to distribute relief packages can also put the information about the same in the portal.
Also, anyone who knows the victims and their demands can also upload information along with the victim’s location and contact informtion on the site.
So far, more than 200 people have already uploaded the information on the site.
