Court orders probe into 2002 murder of Ganesh Kumar

A division bench of Justices Purushottam Bhandari and Megh Nath Bhattarai has ordered District Police Office, Ramechhap to complete the investigation within six months and initiate the action against the perpetrator.
Ganesh Kumar Shrestha was shot dead while he was working at a field in Sanghutar, Ramechhap, on November 22, 2002.
His younger brother, Ujjan Kumar Shrestha, was also killed at Okhaldhunga in 1998. The Supreme Court has given life imprisonment to former UCPN (Maoist) lawmaker Balkrishna Dhungel, among others, in the murder of Ujjan Kumar Shrestha.
