“The minority cannot direct the majority,” said leader Poudel at a programme organised here in Gorkha, “Showing sticks to intimidate the Constituent Assembly is meaningless.”
Leader Poudel went on to say that showing sticks to seek consensus is nothing more than a day-dream. He accused the opposition alliance led by the UCPN (Maoist) of trying to fail the CA by resorting to the street agitations.
At the programme, NC youth leader and lawmaker Gagan Thapa said the country has been long used for political movements and now it is indispensable for the political parties to adopt the path of cooperation.
“The nation and people have been used with different political objectives for 90 years,” said Thapa, “Now it is already late to institutionalise the achievements.”
Leader Thapa opined that the political parties should not remain entangled in the vortex of CA.
