PM extends greeting on Democracy Day
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has extended best wishes to Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of the 65th Democracy Day.
In a message today, Prime Minister Koirala has wished for happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepalis stating that democracy marked an end to Rana oligarchy and beginning of the democratic system.
Likewise, PM Koirala has expressed condolence to the martyrs of the People's Revolution of 2007 BS, People's Movement of 2046 BS, People's Movement of 2064 BS, Madhes movement and all other armed and peaceful movements.
Furthermore, the PM has wished for speedy recovery of the living martyrs of the people's movements and has paid high respect to the family members of the martyr's families and democracy fighters.
"I appeal to all the political parties in and out of the Constituent Assembly (CA) to take historical responsibility to its conclusion by institutionalizing federalism, republicanism and inclusiveness with democracy in the new constitution to be promulgated through the CA," reads the message.
Likewise, on the occasion of Lhosar festival today, the PM has also wished for good health, long life, happiness, peace, prosperity and progress of the members of the Sherpa community living at home and abroad on the occasion of the great festival of the Sherpa community Lhosar Singh Mo Luklo 2142.
He has also said that the feeling of mutual goodwill and support existing in the society for centuries was the stronger base for national unity. RSS
