The accident took place when a car (Ba 3 Cha 5516) heading to Mugling from Kathmandu collided head-on with a truck (Na 4 Kha 441) coming from the opposite direction, said DSP Shanti Raj Koirala.

The deceased are Sadhuram Tiwari, 52, Saroj Tiwari, 35, and Lalita Tiwari, 30, of Lapsiphedi, Kathmandu and car driver Sirjan Pokharel, police added.

The injured is undergoing treatment at the Chitwan Medical College, police said. The truck driver is at large.
