Former king Shah discharged from hospital
Former king Gyanendra Shah has been discharged from Norvic Hospital after improvements in his health condition. He was undergoing treatment at bed no 501 of VVIP Lounge of Norvic Hospital. Shah underwent angiography and angioplasty of his heart. Doctors have placed a stent in his blood vessel to remove the blockage.
Stents are usually placed when there is more than 70 percent obstruction in the blood vessel and if there is chances of re-heart attack.
The former king’s father Mahendra Shah had died of heart attack while his son Paras Shah had suffered two heart attack in 2008.
Former Prime Ministers Baburam Bhattarai, Kirti Nidhi Bista, Tulsi Giri, Lokendra Bahadur Chand, former minister Padma Sundar Lawati, among other hundreds of well wishers, visited the former king at Norvic Hospital to wish him a speedy recovery.
