Radha Paudel has received this year’s Madan Puraskar, the prestigious literary award, for her book ‘Khalanga Ma Hamala’.

‘Khalanga Ma Hamala’, a war memoir published last year by Nepa~laya publication, makes an account of the Maoist attack in Khalanga, the headquarters of Jumla district, during the period of insurgency.  

A meeting of the Madan Puraskar Guthi made the announcement today.

Paudel is the third woman to receive the prestigious literary award after Parijat and Jhamak Ghimire.

Regmi bags Jagadambashreee

Likewise, Jagadambashree Puraskar has been awarded to Shiva Regmi. Both the winners will get Rs. 200,000.
