Engineer Devkota was arrested after he was caught red-handed from his office while accepting a bribe of Rs.100,000 to issue license in a fast-track manner to Brother's Construction Company, a 'D' category construction company.

The CIAA filed the charge-sheet against Devkota as per the Corruption Prevention Act-2059.

Others named in the charge-sheet include Ruku Khatri, Assistant Officer at the District Development Office, Kathmandu and Resham Bahadur Tamang of Kavre district in connection with their involvement in the case.
