Adhikari, 72, was admitted to Sahid Gangalal Heart Center on Saturday night after the attack where he breathed his last, family sources confirmed.
Born in 1999 BS in Mirlung, Tanahun district, Adhikari is best known for widely known song 'Ma Ta Laligurans Bhayechu'. Some of his popular publications are Rahar Lagera, Pahad Dekhi Pahad Samma, Feri Euta Pariwartan, Tara Desh Rahirahecha, among others.
Adhikari was also nominated as the Deputy Education State Minister during the Panchayat regime. Adhikari had announced to donate his body to Dharan-based B. P. Koirala Institute of Health and Sciences after his death.
He is survived by two sons.
