Concerted efforts needed for economic development: PM
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has said all sectors should make concerted efforts for creating an environment for investment which would lead to economic development.
Addressing a programme organised by Chambers of Commerce Banke in his honour here on Saturday, PM Koirala said, "Although the first priority of the government is constitution writing, activities of economic development would also go side by side."
If the peace and rule of law are not threatened from any sector, the country would see huge infrastructures building in short time, he said, adding that it was therefore a time for unity and cooperation than split and fissure.
The PM said that the political parties would make utmost efforts to bring constitution on consensus, and if the consensus eludes voting would decide it later.
On the occasion, the Banke Chapter drew the PM's attention towards the need of further development in the district as declaring Nepalgunj the Sub-Metropolis, and establishing a university there. RSS
