21st Anniversary: Kantipur Digital Corp announced
Kantipur Publications on Wednesday announced the launch of 'Kantipur Digital Corp' on the occassion of the Publications' 21st anniversary.

Addressing a function organised to mark the occasion in Subhidhanagar, Tinkune, Kathmandu, Chairman and Managing Director of Kantipur Media Group, Kailsah Sirohiya announced the establishment of Kantipur Digital Corp, a new frontier aimed catching up with the fast-evolving internet based technology and reach out to the public in accordance with the changing times.
"The objective of the Digital Corp will work to bring in internet technology and all the multimedia related works will be done through this," said Sirohiya.
He said the Digital Corp will be the fourth the wing of the Kantipur Media group which has Radio, Television besides the leading publications house in the nation.
Sirohiya announced the official launch of Android and IOS apps through the Digital Corp. The apps will give access to all electronic editions of the print newspapers and magazines, along with radio, television and web.
Recalling that the Kathmandu Post was the first newspaper in South Asia to go online, the CMD said the success of Kantipur publications is linked with the application of well-timed technology.
"The coming era is the age of digital, we will focus our attention towards digital media along with the print, radio and television," said CMD Sirohiya.
Likewise, various programmes events were organised on the premises of Publication to mark the occasion.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala inaugurated the fourth edition of the Hero Kantipur Half Marathon. Representatives of political parties, high official bodies, actors, well wishers, including staffers of the Publications, marked their presence on the occasion.
Participants of the marathon took part in four different categories—Half Marathon, Wheel Chair Race, Corporate-Media run and the Walkathon.
The winners of different categories were later awarded with cash prizes.
Likewise, employees of various departments of the publications were awarded for their outstanding performance.
The editor-in-chiefs of The Kathmandu Post, Kantipur Daily, Nari and Nepal graced the function held inside the premises of the Publications amid overwhelming participation of its staffers.
