Karnali Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel on Tuesday expanded his Cabinet, inducting six new ministers including a state minister.

Province Head Tilak Pariyar appointed the ministers on Kandel’s recommendation and administered them the oath of office and secrecy.

Mahendra KC was sworn in as Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning; Durga Bahadur Raut the Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment; Sher Bahadur Budha the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development and Bir Bahadur Shahi the Minister for Social Development.

Likewise, Binod Kumar Shah has been appointed as the Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives. Shah, however, was absent at the oath-taking ceremony.

The chief minister inducted Gomata BK as a state minister for Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development and administered her the oath of office and secrecy.

Meanwhile, Ransingh Pariyar, who was inducted into the Cabinet as a minister without portfolio, has been assigned to the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy Development.
