Karnali Chief Minister Sharma inducts four new ministers

Karnali Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma on Wednesday inducted four new ministers in his Cabinet, 14 days after he took charge of the office.
The chief minister appointed Krishna GC as Minister for Internal Affairs and Law; Bhim Prakash Sharma as Minister for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives; Tek Raj Pachhai as Minister for Social Development and Jeet Bahadur Malla as Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment.
The newly appointed minister took an oath of office and secrecy before province head Tilak Pariyar.
Chief Minister Sharma also assigned the portfolio of the Ministry of Economic Affairs to Minister Binod Bahadur Shah and the portfolio of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure, Energy and Water Resources to Minister Mangal Bahadur Sahi.
CPN (Maoist Centre)’s provincial assembly leader Sharma was appointed Karnali chief minister on January 11. As per the power-sharing deal in the ruling alliance, Sharma will first lead the government for two and a half years and UML’s provincial assembly leader Yamlal Kandel for the remaining term.
