With 4,178 new cases, Nepal's Covid-19 tally reaches 561,302

Nepal on Monday reported 4,178 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 561,302.
Similarly, 584 people tested positive in a total of 2,425 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Monday, 3,057,424 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 15,055 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported 114 Covid-19-related fatalities, which included the number of deaths managed by Nepal Army on different dates.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 7,386. The number of active cases stands at 106,470.
According to the ministry, 447,446 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 6,491 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 1,263 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 890 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 252 in Lalitpur and 121 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 709 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 313 in Province 2, 2,079 in Bagmati, 301 in Gandaki, 292 in Lumbini, 92 in Karnali and 392 in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, 48 districts are home to more than 500 active cases each and other 13 districts host more than 200 active cases each.
On Monday, 1,492 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 424—63 in Province 1, 28 in Province 2, 265 in Bagmati, 31 in Gandaki, 23 in Lumbini, five in Karnali and nine in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Sunday reported 3,702 new cases and 109 Covid-19 related fatalities. Similarly, 4,311 new cases and 116 Covid-19-related deaths were recorded on Saturday and 6,855 new cases and 96 Covid-19 related fatalities were recorded on Friday.
