Chumnubri to levy fees on Manaslu trekkers
Foreign tourists will be charged Rs1,000, while domestic travellers will pay Rs200 each.

Chumnubri Rural Municipality in Gorkha district has decided to impose trekking fees on visitors to the Manaslu area.
Foreign tourists will be charged Rs1,000, while domestic travellers will pay Rs200 each.
Manoj Lamichhane, chief administrative officer of the municipality, said the decision was made during an executive council meeting of the rural municipality and an all-party meeting at the local unit.
The municipality has also informed all relevant offices to implement the decision.
He said a checkpoint will be set up at Jagat area in ward 3 of Chumnubri where the fees will be collected.
He also said that they took the initiative also to generate revenue for the local government.
