The local units across various districts in the province have no record of how many people have returned and are currently quarantining at home.

All 109 local units of the province have set up quarantine facilities, but those who have been residing in those facilities are leaving them since they lack basic amenities.

Many children in Tarai districts of Province 5 are still out of school. Most of these children come from impoverished background, mainly from Muslim and Madhesi communities. The dropout rate among the children from these two communities is also high.
