Nepali feature film Purano Pusta that retells the story of a Nepali society of a century ago is set to hit theatres come this month. The film is slated for an all-Nepal release on November 18.
Nepali feature film Purano Pusta that retells the story of a Nepali society of a century ago is set to hit theatres come this month. The film is slated for an all-Nepal release on November 18.
The film, produced under the banner of Florina Films, is directed by Deep Sagar, a popular name in the Nepali music video scene.
According to the producers, the film has been shot around rural Nepali districts Rolpa and Pyuthan.
The film features actors Sher Bahadur Gurung, Biraj Bista, Anish Magar, Dev Nepal, Krishan Sunar, and Tej Bahadur Tamang, among others.
“The film portrays the struggle that our forefathers had to endure to eke out a living,” said
director Deep Sagar, “We’ve tried to capture the struggle as best as we could. Further, the film will catch the audience’s eye for the rural Nepali panorama the film captures.”
