Actor Raj Ballav Koirala believes that his upcoming Hollywood film, Highway to Dhampus, will ease his way on his journey to Hollywood.
Speaking during a press meet organised by the production team in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Koirala said: “I believe that the screening of the film around the world will help in my aims to make it in the film capital of the world.”
The press meet was attended by the crew members of the upcoming flick and quite a few film enthusiasts.
“I hope that the scenic panorama that the movie features, which are shot in different parts of Nepal, will provide a new insight for the international audience. I believe the audience will like the movie,” said actor Deshbhakta Khanal.
The movie was shot almost entirely in Nepal, in locations such as Dhampus, the Annapurna Base Camp and Lukla.
Along with Koirala and Khanal, the movie also features Nepali actors Suyasha Rana, Sayush Gurung Bajracharya and Sunil Shrestha.
The movie also stars Hollywood actors Rachel Hurd-Wood, Gunner Wright, Sophie McShera, Vinzenz Kiefer and Masha Tokareva, among others.
The movie has already been screened in various film festivals around the world and went on to win several awards: Best US Premiere at Heartland Film Festival, Narrative Feature Film at San Luis Obispo Film Festival, Official Selection award at Soho International Film Festival and Best Feature Film at the World Showcase Cay Film Festival, among others.
The movie is set to release in Nepal on September 25.
