Luna Luitel was crowned Miss Nepal World 2025 at the finale of the beauty pageant’s 31st edition organised by The Hidden Treasure in Godavari on Saturday.
The 26-year-old, who previously studied nursing in Australia and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Public Health at the University of Sydney, beat 25 contestants to win the title. Miss Nepal World 2024 Ashma Kumari KC crowned her successor at the event.
Dipshikha Nepal was declared the first runner-up and awarded the title of Miss Nepal Cosmo, while Urusha Bhandari secured the second runner-up position and was crowned Miss Nepal International. Similarly, Sony Ghale won the title of Miss Nepal Earth 2025.
In addition to the main crowns, several sub-titles were awarded. Pragya Kshetri won Miss Confident, Urusha Bhandari bagged both Miss Timeless Elegance and Real Miss Popular Choice, and Saichhya Thapa was named Miss Beautiful Hair. Aarti Thapa won Miss Healthy Skin, while Jagdishwari Shah was awarded Miss Green Visionary and Priyanka Thapa received Miss Pristine.
Other winners included Luna Luitel as Miss DHI, Dipshikha Nepal as Miss Empowered Choice, Smriti Shrestha as both Miss Photogenic and Pharmacy Face of the Year, Srushti Tamang as Miss Beauty with a Purpose, Shruti Maharjan as The Kathmandu Post Miss Intellectual, and Nilima Pandey as Yeti Woman with Wings.
The finale featured a top 12 round followed by question-and-answer sessions, with the final four contestants—Luitel, Bhandari, Ghale, and Nepal—asked to respond to the same question on changing perceptions about beauty pageants.
The judging panel included former Miss Nepal World Shrinkhala Khatiwada, actress Anna Sharma, designer Manish Rai, and other prominent figures from media, business, and the arts.
Luitel, who had been the first runner-up of Miss Teen 2015, said she believes in the principle of “Learn, Earn and Return,” and hopes to use her platform to advocate for social causes.
