Nepal Art Council’s current exhibition ‘Legacy’ hopes to support cancer patients with its proceeds.Post Report
The Man Bahadur Shrestha Memorial Foundation is currently showcasing an exhibition titled ‘Legacy’ at the Nepal Art Council to support cancer patients and raise awareness about prostate cancer.
The exhibition hopes to provide 50 percent of its proceeds from the artworks’ sale to social organisations supported by the foundation since 2016.
The exhibition displays the works of four generations of one family—Jhasendra Bikram Rana, a former Royal Nepal Army Major; Sudarshan Bikram Rana and Sunita Rana, both contemporary artists; and Pradhi Rana, their daughter. The works of the artists display diverse ideas—from faith, metamorphosis to the artists’ different muse and interests.
The foundation has been established to honor the life of late Major Man Bahadur Shrestha.
The exhibition also presented the foundation’s private collection that included the works of artists Kiran Manandhar and Hari Khadka.
The exhibition will be displayed until February 28 at Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal.
