Parts of the Tarai are likely to see fog until midday on Sunday, while the rest of the country will largely experience fair weather, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

In its 24-hour forecast issued at 8am on Sunday, the division said fog or mist would linger in some Tarai areas until noon. Koshi Province’s high hilly and Himalayan regions are expected to see partial cloud cover, while the weather elsewhere will remain mainly clear.

During the night, fog is forecast at a few locations in the Tarai. The hilly and Himalayan regions across the country will continue to see mostly clear conditions.

The division said the current weather pattern is being influenced by a weak low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere over Nepal.
