The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has removed tangled wires from utility poles in New Road and nearby areas.

The haphazardly placed wires had long been criticised for defacing the city’s beauty and creating an eyesore. On Saturday, municipal workers cleared the cables, improving the appearance of these busy areas famous among tourists.
