The New Bus Park in Gongabu was full of hustle and bustle early in the morning on Saturday. Some people, with bus tickets, were seen trying to find the bus they were going to travel in.

Many others were rushing to the ticket counters and some others were queuing up to get tickets to return to their homes to celebrate Dashain festival.

The station has become increasingly busy in the past couple of days as thousands of people take buses from the terminal.

Though there are many bus stations in Kathmandu Valley, Gongabu-based terminal is the biggest one in the Valley from where buses leave for districts across the country.

With the closure of schools and colleges, at least 126,000 individuals have already left the Kathmandu Valley for Dashain vacation, according to bus operators.
