The Phalelung Rural Municipality concluded the second edition of a multi-cultural literary and cultural festival on Saturday.

Organised by the Phalelung Wangmaya Foundation, the two-day event featured art, culture and folk dances performed by various caste groups, including Damai, Brahmin, Gurung, Rai, Limbu and Magar communities.

According to Surendra Kerung, president of the foundation, the annual festival started last year with the aim of exploring and documenting ancient histories of various genres of art, culture and traditions.

The event also featured folk dances like Balan, Sangini, Hurra Kaudi, Sorathi, and Sakela, among others, as well as poetry and ghazal recitals.
