Environmental activists wearing oxygen masks and holding placards marked the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies at Maharani Hiti, Patan on Thursday.

They carried placards with messages—‘Be the part of solution, not part of the pollution,’ ‘Stop air pollution’, ‘We all share the same air, let’s keep it clean,’ and ‘Let us breathe’ among others.

The day is marked annually on September 7 to underscore the fact that clean air is important for the health and day-to-day lives of people.
