President Bidya Devi Bhandari unveiled a life size statue of late King Prithivi Narayan Shah, attributed for uniting various small states to form a unified Nepal, at the premises of Chandragiri Hills Ltd in the Capital on Sunday.

President Bhandari along with Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Jitendra Narayan Dev, leaders and lawmakers from various parties were present during the unveiling ceremony.

The 5 feet 8 inch statue of the late king was created by sculptor Nabin Subedi.
