Ex-deputy speaker Yadav deserts RPP to join UML

Yadav was elected the Deputy Speaker of the House on October 15 after the commencement of the new constitution in the country.
CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli welcomed Yadav to his party amid a special function at the former’s Balkot-based residence on Sunday.
During the ceremony, Yadav said that he was joining UML following differences with RPP leadership on joining the Nepali Congress-led democratic alliance.
“KP Sharma Oli is the number one nationalist and development focused leader in the country and Kamal Thapa (RPP Chairman) had also pointed out the same,” said Yadav adding that the UML has worked towards forging bond between mountain, hills and Tarai, “I was not satisfied with Kamal ji joining the NC alliance.”
Meanwhile, Chairman Oli claimed to emerge as the largest party in Province 2 following the federal and provincial elections saying that different elements limited the party in the second position during the local level elections.
