Hundreds of Hindu devotees gathered at Pashupatinath temple on early Monday to sprinkle Satabij, seven types of grains—paddy, barley, sesame, wheat, gram, maize and finger millet, to observe Bala Chaturdashi.
Satabij is sprinkled on the premises of the temple in memory of their recently departed ancestors.
