Addressing the grand convention of Hindu organised by World Hindu Federation at Bankali in Pashupati area, Kathmandu on Thursday, Gyanendra said, “Politics of negation would fuel discontent and would instigate the feeling of rebellion in the oppressed lot.”
He opined that the current political situation has generated despair among the people. “The recent hopelessness has made everybody ponder the reason behind the current state of affairs in the country.”
Saying that Nepal has always been the source of inspiration for ancient traditions of Hindu and Buddhism, the former Hindu monarch said that dark clouds are hovering over the ancient traditions and culture.
He stressed on the need for uniting and reviving the old tradition. He added that religion and culture are the life force of a country and it is necessary to the conserve them in order to save the nation's existance.
