Former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala is flying to the USA on Friday afternoon for a follow-up on his cancer treatment.

Koirala will fly at 2 pm on Friday. He will be accompanied by his personal aide Atul Koirala, assistants Mridula Koirala and his foreign affairs advisor Dinesh Bhattarai. SP Mahendra Marasini will also fly with Koirala.

NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel will take responsibilities as the party’s acting president in Koirala’s absence.
