US envoy hands over credentials

Newly appointed US Ambassador to Nepal Alaina B Teplitz presented her credentials to President Ram Baran Yadav on Wednesday amid a function organised at the President’s Office.
“I am very happy to be here as President Obama’s representative to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal,” said Ambassador Teplitz. And I look forward to building on over six decades of partnership and cooperation with Nepal in order to enhance prosperity, encourage democracy and ensure stability, said a statement issued by the US Embassy. Raul Ignacio Guastavino and Gennet Zewide , ambassadors of Argentina and Ethiopia to Nepal, also presented their credentials respectively.
