Dharan Football Club dispatched Sikkim United 3-0 to book a quarter-final berth in the 13th Aaha-Rara Gold Cup football tournament in Pokhara on Wednesday. 

Dharan netted all three goals after break in the match played under a drizzling rain. Roman Limbu, Sajan Rai and Dhiren Limbu scored within the 15-minute span. Defender Roman broke the deadlock in the 61st minute. He came in the overlap and volleyed Bartaman Rai’s corner from outside the 18-yard box after controlling a clearance from Sikkim player. 

Man-of-the-match Sajan Rai doubled their tally two minutes later from the goalline, again capitalising on a cross from Bartaman. Dhiren Limbu headed in a Nisan Rai pass in the 75th minute to kill off the match. It will the third quarter-finals appearance for Dharan in 13 attempt.
