Man Bahadur Shrestha of Army Club and Pratibha Mali of New Diamond Academy were declared players of the year 2017 by Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) on Monday.

Army men’s team coach Jagadish Bhatta and Nepal APF Club women’s coach Gyanendra Bista won the best coach awards.

The winners received Rs 25,000 each. Army won the best men’s team award and APF took the best women’s team honour.

They were rewarded Rs 50,000 each. Bishal BK and Kamana Bista, both of Nepal Police Club, were named emerging players.

Meanwhile, the men’s national team were rewarded with Rs 300,000 for their third place finish in the AVC Central Zone tournament in Maldives. (PR)
