Police have arrested three people on the charge of murdering 27-year-old Niraj Chaudhary at Hamar Tharu Restaurant located in ward 4 of Rajapur Municipality, Bardiya.

Police Inspector Prakash Singh Karki of the District Police Office Bardiya said Chaudhary was taken to Nepalgunj Medical College after he was found in an unconscious state, and died in the course of treatment.

Police have arrested three accused for investigation. The main accused is on the run. The reason behind the murder is still unknown as police have not disclosed the information.

Police said the body has been kept in Nepaljung for post-mortem, and further details will emerge once the report is received.

Karki said the post-mortem will only be done after the relatives return from India on Tuesday.
