A 52-year-old man from ward 1 of Mahakali Municipality, Darchula, was found dead at New Thapa Hotel in Bhalubang, ward 1 of Rapti Rural Municipality.

Police Inspector Pushkar Singh Airi, chief of the local police office in Bhalubang, said Jayadhan Singh Baral was discovered dead Monday night. The hotel management reported finding him after he had stayed there on Sunday.

The cause of Baral’s death has not been determined, and further investigation is underway, Inspector Airi added.
