Teacher injured in knife attack by student

Student attacks teacher in Tulsipur following alleged past beating.

A teacher was injured in a knife attack by a student in Tulsipur, Dang, on Friday.

The incident occurred inside the Himal Boarding School in ward 6 of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City, where 37-year-old Bishesh Shrestha, a teacher from Rajoura, was attacked by an 18-year-old student, Suresh Sunar, from ward 4.

Sunar, who studies in grade 12, suddenly attacked Shrestha with a sharp knife. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Thakuri of the Tulsipur Area Police Office, the student sought revenge after the teacher had allegedly beaten him a few days ago. The injured teacher is receiving treatment at Rapti Life Care Hospital in Tulsipur.
