Nawalparasi West

Four people were injured in a leopard attack at Guthi Parsauni in ward 6 of Pratappur Rural Municipality in Nawalparasi West.

The leopard first attacked Raghubir Kewat, who was working in a field. Upon witnessing the attack, locals shouted and scared the leopard off.

However, while fleeing in panic, the animal attacked three other people. Kewat sustained injuries to his head, back, and arms.

The other victims, Prem Koiri, Umalal Koiri of ward 6, and Mohammad Miya from ward 5 of Susta Rural Municipality, are receiving treatment at a private clinic in the district headquarters.

Authorities from the Forest Office are currently searching for the leopard.
