Dang
Tension ran high at a hospital in Ghorahi on Wednesday after a boy died while undergoing treatment.
Kin of nine-year-old Suresh Kunwar of Rajpur Rural Municipality-1, who was brought to the Ghorahi-based Buddha International Hospital on Wednesday morning due to throat-related ailments, vandalised the hospital after he died.
The protesters claimed that the child died due to the doctor’s negligence. The family accused that the medics tried to remove the pus from his throat with the help of a needle and the process resulted in the death due to profuse bleeding.
Police were mobilised after the incident.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Janak Bahadur Malla, information officer of Dang District Police Office, said the incident is being investigated.
